Research Programs
The Department of Internal Medicine has a robust program of research, with 406 active awards in total. In 2003, much of the Department's research program moved into the new Anlyan Center for Biomedical Research and Education, a 457,000-square-foot building that is Yale University 's second largest structure. The Department oversees a total of 188,237 net square feet throughout the medical campus, with 89,451 net square feet dedicated to research activities.
