Equity Begins with Everyone Conversations

We invite you to be part of our vibrant Equity Begins with Everyone (EBE) community through our monthly sessions, where one faculty member and one staff member share their unique personal stories each month. Our mission is to cultivate a sense of belonging and enhance our collective understanding of the rich diversity among us. By bringing together medical students, residents, faculty, and business professionals from various medical sub-specialties, we aim to foster a deeper sense of community and inclusiveness.

The EBE sessions were started in 2023 by Dr Benjamin Mba, building on the community rooted in the pioneering work initiated by Dr. Inginia Genao in 2016, with a dedicated focus on improving the retention and recruitment of faculty. By broadening our outreach efforts both within Yale and beyond, we strive to create an environment where equity truly begins with everyone, and everyone belongs. Together, we strive, together, we rise.
