MB&B, Yale Microbial Science, Yale Franke Program, and Poynter Fellowship Host: “Why Storytelling Matters For Science” A Talk by Ed Yong and Liz Neeley

Ed Yong is a science journalist for The Atlantic and the author of the best-selling book, I Contain Multitudes, an exploration of the microbiome. His TED talk about mind-controlling parasites has been viewed 1.8 million times.

Liz Neeley is the Executive Director of Story Collider, a nonprofit organization that produces podcasts and live events where people tell stories about science. She co-organized the National Academies of Science’s Colloquium on the science of science communication. At Yale, Neeley works with the National Neuroscience Curriculum Initiative to help psychiatry trainees integrate modern neuroscience into their clinical work.
