Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics and Genomics Fellowship
The Yale Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and Genetics Department jointly sponsor a four-year combined maternal-fetal medicine and medical genetics genomics (MFM-MGG) fellowship Program.
The combined MFM-MGG program admission process includes applying for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship and the Medical Genetics and Genomics (MGG) fellowship. Applicants should first apply to Maternal-Fetal Medicine through the NRMP match, indicating in their application that they are interested in the combined genetics program. Once matched into Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Yale, the leadership team will communicate the fellow’s interest to the Genetics Department, enabling them to interview with Genetics early in their Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. While successful application to the combined MFM-MGG program cannot be guaranteed, every effort is made to support the candidate in their application.
After the MFM-MGG combined program, the trainee will be eligible for certification by both the MFM Subspecialty Qualifying Exam and board certification for the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG).
