We are pleased to announce that Dr. Erin E. Flynn will be joining our department as a vitreoretinal surgeon, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Flynn is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in retina and will be seeing patients at both our New Haven and Stratford locations.
A native of Maine, Dr. Flynn received her BA from Columbia University, New York, NY, and her MD from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Dr. Flynn’s post-graduate education consists of an Ophthalmology Residency at George Washington University and a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Flanzer Eye Institute of Columbia University in New York, NY. She also holds a Master of Medical Sciences from Boston University, Boston, MA, reflecting her strong academic foundation and dedication to advancing medical knowledge.
Dr. Flynn has an active interest in residency education and is excited about teaching Yale residents and fellows clinically and academically. In addition to her educational focus, she has authored numerous papers and presented multiple abstracts at scientific meetings on vitreoretinal diseases. She looks forward to continuing her important educational and research roles at Yale.
