YSPH EMD Seminar: "Combining virology and ethnography to address epidemiological questions on bloodborne infections in people who inject drugs."

The use of interdisciplinary methodology has been vital in trying to understand the transmission of HIV and hepatitis C virus among people who inject drugs. Our lab has developed virological tools and partnered with medical anthropologists to provide insights that were not evident using standard epidemiological tools and are better able to inform effective prevention strategies.
