Yale RNA Club

The Yale RNA Club meets monthly to highlight cutting-edge research from fellows from laboratories associated with the Yale RNA Center. Each session features two speakers, fostering scientific exchange, collaboration, and community.

The meetings are held in person, providing a dynamic platform for discussion and networking. The venue alternates between Science Hill and the Medical Campus on a monthly basis.

This month’s meeting will take place in Bass 305, Science Hill, featuring:

  • Dr. Kumari Kavita Thakur (Breaker Lab) – Ancient RNA Sensors Reveal New Guanidine Biology in Vertebrates

  • Kyrillos Abdallah (Gilbert Lab) – mRNA-specific translation initiation rates are tuned to prevent cellular stress
