SEICHE Center for Health & Justice Seminar Series: Policing & Health (Seminar #1: Brigette Davis)

On October 25th, 2021, 12 - 1:30 PM ET, the SEICHE Center for Health and Justice at Yale University will host Brigette A. Davis for our Fall seminar series on policing and health. The title of Brigette's presentation will be: "Fees & Fines as Structural Racism: Leveraging novel, public, data to examine the relationship between law enforcement- and judicial-related revenue generation & health."

Brigette Davis is a social epidemiologist whose research focuses on the impact of structural racism on health, with a particular interest in how structural racism is operationalized in research. She holds a BA from Swarthmore College, an MPH from Yale School of Public Health, and recently received her PhD from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a RWJF Health Policy Research Scholar, and a former research associate with the Transitions Clinic Network.
