Kick Love Data Week off with a special data film experience, hosted by the Yale Film Archive (YFA) in their Screening Room!

Even Big Data Starts Small chronicles the work of data volunteers around the world, from precipitation measurers to oil spill mappers. All over the world, everyday people are collecting and contributing data to science that saves lives. Come hear their stories, and learn more about how real-world data goes from raindrop to dashboard!

  • The screening room has a large projection screen and theater-style seating.
  • Food is NOT permitted in the Film Archive. Non-alcoholic beverages are permissible in approved spill-proof containers only.
  • Capacity is limited; registration is required!

Getting to the YFA Screening Room:

  • The YFA is located on the seventh floor of the Sterling Memorial Library, at 120 High Street, New Haven, CT 06511. The YFA Screening Room is in SML Room 710.
  • Entry to the Archive requires a Yale ID.
