DESCRIPTION:Provisions of the Connecticut General Statutes require that ph
 ysicians applying for license renewal in the state of Connecticut must pa
 rticipate in at least 1 hour of accredited CME in each of the following c
 ategories: Infectious Diseases (including\, but not limited\, to HIV/AIDS
 )\; Risk Management (including\, but not limited to\, controlled substanc
 es and pain management)\; Sexual Assault \; Domestic Violence \; Cultural
  Competence \; and Behavioral Health \, provided further that on and afte
 r January 1\, 2016\, such behavioral health continuing medical education 
 may include\, but not be limited to\, at least two contact hours of train
 ing or education on the topic of mental health conditions common to veter
 ans and family members of veterans. In collaboration with the New England
  AIDS Education and Training Center’s Connecticut Local Partner\, Yale CM
 E will be providing a training opportunity that meets these state-require
 d topics. Together\, the teams have developed this full-day course that w
 ill not only meet the state mandated course requirements to be relicensed
  but will also provide valuable information for physicians and other heal
 th care providers in the state. With the new Routine HIV Testing Law that
  took effect as of January 1\, 2023\, it is highly recommended that physi
 cians\, physician assistants (PAs)\, and advanced practice registered nur
 ses (APRNs) participate in this educational activity to review the latest
  updates in the aforementioned topics as these topics are required for re
