DESCRIPTION:Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) is hosting a diaper drive to be
 nefit The Diaper Bank of Connecticut \, leading up to a day of service at
  the diaper bank warehouse in late May. Diapers and period products will 
 be collected from May 8–29\, 2026. Donations can be dropped off during bu
 siness hours on Monday through Friday \, at the YCSC business office on t
 he ground floor of NIHB (230 South Frontage Road) or the break room at 35
 0 George Street. The diaper bank works to bring basic health needs—includ
 ing 75\,000 diapers each week—to low-income individuals who live in Conne
 cticut and are struggling to make ends meet. Prior to the COVID-19 pandem
 ic\, one in three Connecticut families couldn’t afford enough diapers for
  their infants and toddlers\, and the need has skyrocketed over the past 
 year. Without an adequate supply of clean diapers\, babies are more likel
 y to suffer from diaper rash\, urinary tract infections\, and other medic
 al problems. Diaper need also forces parents and caregivers to miss schoo
 l and work\, making it harder to break the cycle of poverty. No one shoul
 d have to worry about affording these basic needs. Since its founding in 
 2004\, The Diaper Bank of Connecticut has become a model for diaper banks
  nationwide. They now distribute period supplies and incontinence product
 s to those in need\, but their signature program continues to focus on th
 e distribution of infant and toddler diapers to low-income families in Co
 nnecticut. They distribute diapers through strategic partnerships with mo
 re than 60 community-based agencies throughout the state\, including YCSC
 . The diaper bank provides diapers to agencies and programs who then dist
