Yale Cardiovascular Medicine Grand Rounds: "Human Genetics – A Tool to Uncover New Biology and Enable Enhanced Clinical Care"

Learning Objectives:

  1. Rare genetic variants can identify a subset of individuals with risk for disease driven by a specific pathway.
  2. For the remainder, polygenic scores can stratify the population according to inherited risk with very different disease trajectories.
  3. New evidence and new infrastructure is needed to realize the full potential of genomic medicine.
