2019 ACS CAN Connecticut Policy Forum: "The Future of Cancer Care: The Role of Biomarkers in Advancing Personalized Medicine"
The Future of Cancer Care Forum will examine the current impact and future potential of biomarkers in cancer research, diagnosis and treatment and discuss advancements and barriers to new technological discoveries. The goal is to create a dialogue to analyze and discuss how biomarkers are helping to change the healthcare landscape– particularly people living with cancer-- from a “one size-fits all” model to a more personalized approach where cancer and disease may be diagnosed earlier and treated using information contained within a patient’s own genetic profile, offering the potential to reduce health care costs and significantly improve patient outcomes.
