Rachel Dreyer is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Yale School of Medicine, and the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). Dr Dreyer’s background is in health services and outcomes research, with particular expertise in women’s cardiovascular health. In 2009, she graduated with 1st class Honors from the University of Adelaide in South Australia with a Bachelor of Science Degree. In 2013, she received her Ph.D. in Medicine, also from the University of Adelaide, where she researched the impact of sex and gender disparities in relation to cardiovascular disease. In 2014, Dr Dreyer received the American Australian Association Fellowship to pursue her postdoctoral studies at Yale University. She is currently supported by the Sidney Sax – Overseas Public Health and Health Services Fellowship from the Australian Health and Medical Research Council. This grant will support her work in bridging outcomes research to implementation science, a discipline that seeks to develop tools to empower patients to have a more proactive role in optimizing their health status and recovery.
