The Dobbs Ruling: Implications for Health, Morbidity, and Mortality of Women and Pregnant People Across the US

Yale School of Medicine (YSM) will host the third panel discussion in the series delving into the implications of the recent US Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Dobbs overruled Roe v. Wade and held that the United States Constitution does not confer a right to abortion. These discussions are part of YSM’s commitment to lead through collaboration and education. The first two sessions were hosted in conjunction with the Solomon Center for Health Law and Policy at Yale Law School.

The Dobbs Ruling: Implications for Health, Morbidity, and Mortality of Women and Pregnant People Across the US, will focus on the health implications of the decision, both in Connecticut and in states that have severely limited access to abortions. Panelists will include:

Nancy Stanwood, MD, MPH, chief medical officer for Planned Parenthood of Southern New England
