Program for Biomedical Ethics Lecture: Palliative Sedation: "The Last Resort for Intractable Suffering"
“Palliative sedation” is a medical intervention associated with controversy at best, and confused with “assisted death” at worst. With the current course of clinical medicine in the US it is anticipated more providers will deal directly with this topic.
It is important for clinicians to engage in reflection and discussion of this currently-available element of clinical practice.
