Mina Ansari, MD/MPH

Dr. Mina Ansari, MD, MPH, serves as a postdoctoral research associate at the Yale Depression Research Program (YDRP). Graduating from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2021, she moved to the US to pursue her passion for psychiatric research and practice. At the Yale Psychiatry Department, Dr. Ansari is engaged in several clinical and translational research projects centered on depression including studying the efficacy of Ketamine in treatment of depression in Parkinson’s disease and using CBT to consolidate response to treatment, developing digital therapeutics to prevent suicidal ideation, harnessing non-specific factors (placebo effect) in acheiving better response to treatment in depression, and the genomics of severe depression and response to treatment (GenECT).

Beyond her research endeavors, Dr. Ansari is dedicated to enhancing mental health through integrated care approaches, particularly targeting vulnerable populations, and advocating for equity in mental health services. She works with Anti Racism Task Force (ARTF) in Psychiatry Department to provide anti-racism education for all departmental members. In addition, she is one of the organizing members of Women's Mental Health Conference (WMHC) at Yale.
