Qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for a 10-week mentored research fellowship.

The Yale Cardiovascular Medicine and American Heart Association (AHA) Undergraduate Research Fellowship is now accepting applicants for the next session, beginning June 1, 2023. Interested applicants should complete the application form by Friday, April 1, 2023. The program offers a robust and supportive educational training environment and foster research skill development in undergraduate researchers mentored by faculty in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. We are recruiting up to 5 highly qualified undergraduate students from diverse educational and personal backgrounds for a 10-week mentored research fellowship experience.

Candidates should be current full-time Yale undergraduates or Connecticut residents with local housing in the summer between their junior and senior years of college or in the summer following their senior year who have outstanding academic records and a passion for scientific investigation. The program will pair each student with a Yale Cardiovascular Medicine faculty research mentor and they will work together on a mentored research project in cardiovascular disease (including basic, translational, and clinical science). We are planning for in-person, on-campus learning this summer, realizing this is subject to change based on conditions. Please contact Corianne Brennan at corianne.brennan@yale.edu with any additional questions.

Students will be compensated with a $4,000 stipend. The application deadline is April 1, 2023. For more information, please visit our website.
