Global Outreach Current Residents

Krystal Buchanan:

Krystal participated in a 4-week rotation to Tanzania in February/March 2018. She is specifically interested in helping to develop a Neuroradiology fellowship curriculum and deeply involved with information technology, mostly with participation of launching dictation infrastructure in Tanzania for the first time. Working with residents at the workstation is also a great passion and lecturing to local Radiology and Emergency Medicine residents has been rewarding.

Guangzu Gao:

Gao participated in a four-week Tanzania rotation in February/March 2018. He has taught radiology residents at MUHAS on various topics in radiology spanning from emergency radiology to GI radiology.

Kenedy Foryoung:

Kenedy spent four weeks in Tanzania in October/November 2017 teaching radiology residents at MUHAS on various topics in radiology spanning from emergency radiology to neuroradiology. He also participated in gathering information for the interventional radiology readiness assessment in Tanzania.

Fabian Laage Gaupp:

Fabian participated in a two-week trip to Tanzania in October/November 2017 during his second year of Radiology training. He performed an IR readiness assessment of the Muhimbili hospital system in Dar es Salaam. On the basis of this assessment he is working on establishing an IR training program in Tanzania in close collaboration with RAD-AID and other institutions from across the US.
