Research Summary

My long-term research goal is to eliminate racial disparities in drug and alcohol treatment access and outcomes. I am currently investigating self-change, the process of quitting or reducing substance use without formal treatment, among Black adults. My research also involves addressing race-related stressors in SUD treatment. I am also currently working on developing an FDA-approved patient-rated outcome measure that can be used in SUD treatment research.
