Research Awards

The goals of the Career Development Program and the Development Research Projects are to enhance the development of multidisciplinary studies investigating the relevance of biological discoveries in human skin cancer risk, prevention, diagnosis, prognosis or treatment. The Career Developmental Award is for two years and the Developmental Research award is for one year, with the potential of renewal for another year. The goals are to provide limited support for a broad spectrum of skin cancer-related pilot projects, with the expectation that such projects can evolve with unequivocal translational potential that could either replace completed or sub-optimally-progressing research projects within this SPORE or could successfully compete for independent, R01-type funding.
