Skin Immunobiology, Allergens, and Inflammation — The Eisenstein Lab

1 Minute Read

The focus of the Eisenstein Lab is on the impact of metabolic and environmental factors on the immunobiology of the skin in both healthy states and disease.

Current projects focus on how manmade products change the immune response to allergens and how metabolic factors affect the development of hidradenitis suppurativa, a chronic, debilitating autoinflammatory disease.

The lab aims to enhance understanding of these different pathogenic states and uncover fundamental biology to ultimately improve our treatment and management of patients with allergic and inflammatory disease.
