The entire YSM community was invited to provide feedback on the school’s mission statement which was formally adopted by the school and shared in October 2020.

Yale School of Medicine Strategic Planning

YSM's strategic planning for education, research, and diversity includes student engagement in attaining competency; faculty participation in the educational mission; creating a more inclusive and enriched learning community; investing across scientific disciplines; and building on key strengths in the school, such as data science, team science, and health equity research.

Dean's Workshops

Dean's Workshops feature topics of acute interest to the clinical and basic science communities, from mass spectrometry to microbiome research to vaccine initiatives to health equity research.

About the Dean

Nancy J. Brown, M.D. is the Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of Yale School of Medicine and the C.N.H. Long professor of Internal Medicine. A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Brown has led a translational research program that focuses on developing new pharmacological strategies to prevent vascular disease in patients with high blood pressure and diabetes.
