Katie Apton is a public health professional with experience in program development, research, and policy across the public and private sectors. Most recently, Ms. Apton was an independent consultant to hospitals, insurers, health agencies and other organizations on a range of technical and strategic initiatives. Previously, she was a Program Officer at the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) overseeing a committee on value-based care. Prior to the NAM, Ms. Apton worked with the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to advance the organization's disparities research portfolio. She received her MPH from the Mailman School at Columbia University.
