Jill Max joined Yale School of Medicine in 2016 following 17 years as a freelance science and health writer. For more than a decade, she wrote articles, newsletters, brochures and other materials for a number of Yale organizations and publications, including the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, Yale Medicine, Medicine@Yale, Yale Cancer Center, Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital.
Prior to her career as a writer, she worked in advertising as a TV Producer and Director of Broadcast Production in New York and in Milan, Italy, where she lived for 10 years. In her role at the Office of Communications, she manages and executes communication plans and materials for the School of Medicine and the Dean's Office, as well as writing for various publications.
