Jill Max joined Yale School of Medicine in 2016 following 17 years as a freelance science and health writer. For more than a decade, she wrote articles, newsletters, brochures and other materials for a number of Yale organizations and publications, including the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, Yale Medicine Magazine, Medicine@Yale, Yale Cancer Center, Yale Medicine, and Yale New Haven Hospital.
Prior to her career as a writer, she worked in advertising as a TV Producer and Director of Broadcast Production in New York and in Milan, Italy, where she lived for 10 years. In her role at the Office of Communications, she oversees and contributes to communications for the School of Medicine and the Dean's Office. She also collaborates with and serves as a resource for communications officers in departments and centers across the School of Medicine.
