Access to SDL

Gain Access to SDL Tridion

Anyone seeking access to Tridion must either watch the videos on this site or review the support pages and successfully complete two quizzes.

Additionally, no new users are granted access to Tridion until they have received the University Content Editor Accessibility Training.

Once you've completed these tasks, please contact ysm.editor@yale.eduindicating the site(s) you'll be editing so we can grant you the appropriate access.

The School of Medicine Office of Communications will grant access to any School of Medicine or School of Public Health employee to edit a YSM/YSPH website upon approval from the department’s administrator. Before granting access, new users must view the SDL Video Series. Additional training materials are available in the SDL Support section of our website.

While SDL can have a steep learning curve for users unfamiliar with the web, those who have previously used content management systems or use SDL on a regular basis (at least once a week) learn to use the system quickly. The Web Group has generated a tremendous amount of support materials, including written instructions for every template available and video instructions for all major aspects of the system. Visit the SDL Support website for more information.

Students, casual employees, and temporary employees are not allowed access to SDL.

Please contact YSM.editor@yale.edu to request access to a SDL website.
