Policies

In this section you will find information about the policies the School of Medicine and the Office of Communications have in place for publishing all online and printed content.
  • As part of Yale’s mission, Yale is committed to “the free exchange of ideas in an ethical, interdependent, and diverse community.” That diversity includes all people regardless of ability or disability

  • Officially recognized School of Medicine organizations and entities must use the YSM web template and the school's web content management system for their websites.
  • The School of Medicine Office of Communications will grant access to any School of Medicine or School of Public Health employee who meets the required criteria
  • Do not post identifiable information about patients anywhere in this system, whether the page has security or not.
  • This policy is directed at the public, but as a content publisher you should recognize that you are committing to uphold these standards of the public’s right to privacy.
  • The school introduced a YSM-branded lab website template in its content management system to create and maintain websites.
  • Printed materials produced by the units that make up the School of Medicine should abide by the School of Medicine's publications policy
