Daylong Symposium: "Women Advancing Health and Health Care Equity" on May 29

February 04, 2020

Please mark your calendars for May 29, 2020 when we will host a daylong symposium: Women Advancing Health and Health Care Equity.

Sponsored by the Dean’s Office; the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; the Committee for the Status of Women in Medicine (SWIM); and the Minority Organization for Retention and Expansion (MORE); and in collaboration with the Office of Women in Medicine, Women’s Health Research at Yale, and the Equity Research and Innovation Center (ERIC), this informative event will feature prominent women clinicians and scientists who will speak about their work in health and health care equity and share their personal journeys. Sessions on the historical, clinical, advocacy/community engagement, education, and research aspects of health and health care disparities will be followed by a reception.

We invite all members of the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, and Yale New Haven Hospital communities to join us for the symposium. Registration and program details will be available in the coming weeks.

Sincerely,

Nancy J. Brown, MD, Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of Medicine and C.N.H. Long Professor of Internal Medicine
