Factor X: From Thrombokinase to Oral Anticoagulants and Beyond

75 Years of Discovery Focused on Coagulation Factor X-Thrombokinase. This one-day symposium, held live via Zoom, will include internationally recognized experts who made significant contributions to the current understanding of structure, function and medical significance of Factor X.

Objectives

  1. Review the central role of Factor Xa in the coagulation process
  2. Appreciate the complexity of Factor Xa activities and co-factor interaction
  3. Discuss how Factor Xa became the focus of anticoagulant therapy
  4. Explore the discovery of non-enzymatic properties of Factor X
