Biography

Rebecca Jordan graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Amherst College in 2019 with a B.A. in Psychology. While at Amherst, Rebecca was president of the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter. She worked as a research assistant in the Child Learning and Development Lab where she completed a senior thesis on sex differences in young children’s visual-spatial skills and strategy formation. Additionally, Rebecca worked at the Self-Regulation, Emotions, & Early Development Lab at UMass, Amherst, where she assisted in the collection of fNIRS and other physiological data in studies of childhood irritability and tantrums. Rebecca has also worked as a therapeutic counselor at Kurtz Psychology Consulting’s summer intensive program in NYC, administering Parent Child Interaction Treatment to children with Selective Mutism. Rebecca is currently a Post-Bacc Research Fellow at the Yale Child Study Center’s Sukhodolsky Lab where she manages studies on autism and anxiety disorders. Upon completion of the fellowship, she looks forward to pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Outside of work, Rebecca volunteers as a tutor at New Haven Reads.
