Marissa Zemaitis, MA, LPC

Clinical Instructor of Child Counseling in the Child Study Center



Marissa is an experienced Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a history of working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety, mood, and conduct disorders, and with children and families with trauma histories. She is certified in the evidenced-based early intervention trauma model, Attachment, Self-regulation, and Competency (ARC), and provided training to other clinical staff in its use. She completed her graduate studies with honors at Albertus Magnus College and received both the Outstanding Creativity in Research award through the college and the Gladys Agell Award for Excellence in Research (2017) given by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) for her work on the use of art therapy to reduce anxiety in adult dental patients.
