The Yale Child Study Center improves the lives of children and families by translating research into effective policy change at local, state, national and global levels.

For over 100 years, the Yale Child Study Center has been a leader in shaping the policies that impact our children and families in areas like child protection and placement, early care and education, school-based health and mental health services, school disciplinary practices, and family leave provisions, as well as through innovative models of change, such as the federally-funded Head Start and global peace-building initiatives with our partners at UNICEF.

Although our policy initiatives impact millions of lives every year, much more is needed to ensure that children and families all over the world achieve their fullest potentials.
