This past week, the promise of spring arrived at last in the Northeast—and the extended daylight in the evenings has provided a welcome boost as YCSC community members continue to support children, families, and each other through challenging times.
Speaking of challenging times, we have somehow just passed the five-year mark from sheltering in place and entering quarantine due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus in 2020. We learned a great deal during and from that time—from managing fear and living with uncertainty, to navigating polarized issues across our country and in our broader world, to recognizing strength in coalition and resilience.
Indeed, these are lessons we carry with us today, in our current challenging and uncertain times, as we continue to join forces in a variety of ways and work to improve the lives of all children and families. Some of this work is highlighted below, along with several upcoming special events and Grand Rounds sessions to look forward to this spring.
