When a child has complex medical needs or a life-limiting condition, families often experience grief. • nurses and nursing students
  • advanced practice providers (APRN, PA)

  • Define and discuss anticipatory grief and increase awareness of the variety of emotional responses experienced by parents in these situations
  • Review the importance of grief-sensitive communication, and develop greater confidence in communicating with parents in these situations and to increase awareness of the impact of how we communicate
