  Edgar\, PhD\, will present on "The Avoidant Brain: Neural Signatures of

 ment)" and Dan Doyle\, PhD\, will present on "Deciphering genetic and cir
 cuit features of neurodevelopmental disorders." A description for the lat
 ter is as follows. The neocortex is the crux of our exceptional conscious
  capabilities and altered neocortical function contributes broadly to bra
 in disorders. Despite significant efforts over the last few decades\, the
 re are still countless questions regarding the genetic underpinnings of c
 ortical circuitry and how alterations to these mechanisms can contribute 
 to neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder\, inte
