Smilow Wellness Workshops Presents: “Emotional Intelligence: Permission to Feel to Achieve Well-being””
We’ve all experienced a roller coaster of emotions over the past few months. Emotions influence learning, decision making, relationships, physical and mental health, creativity, and performance. But it’s our awareness, control and ability to express emotions that empower us and give us emotional intelligence.
Join Professor Marc Brackett, PhD, founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence as he shares his Center’s model, describes recent large-scale studies on the emotional lives of children and adults and offers participants in this interactive workshop tools to develop emotional intelligence to enhance personal and professional success.
In addition to creating his center, Dr. Brackett is a professor in the Child Study Center at Yale and the lead developer of RULER, an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning that has been adopted by more than 2,500 schools across the globe. He is the author of Permission to Feel: Unlocking the Power of Emotions to Help our Kids, Ourselves, and our Society Thrive.
