Developing Faculty Competencies in Assessment
Yale is collaborating with ACGME to co-sponsor a regional faculty development course for academic faculty. This 4-part course, delivered as a blend of virtual and in-person sessions, is a condensed version of the popular week-long ACGME course concentrated on assessment skills. This highly interactive course will cover learner assessment skills (such as direct observation and feedback) as well as tools and strategies to help programs bestmeet their programmatic requirements (clinical competency committee input, multisource evaluations). The target audience includes program directors, associate program directors, fellowship directors, chairs, heads of clinical competency committees and other core faculty with major responsibility for assessment of residents and fellows.
Course Dates and Locations:
This course will be held VIRTUALLY, via Zoom , on September 11 and September 18th from 1-5 p.m.
This course will be held IN-PERSON, on September 24 (12:30-6 p.m.) and September 25 (8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.). Location: Yale School of Medicine Campus - 35 York Street, New Haven CT. Additional details will be sent upon registration.

- Practical application of multiple assessment methods and tools
- How to create effective assessment systems

We are only accepting 30 participants for this educational program. Registration is completed on a first-come, first-serve basis. A waitlist will be created if necessary.
