Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) recently increased its staffing and expertise to assist investigative teams in recruiting and retaining a broad representation of research participants, engaging with community members in the research process, and marketing clinical trials to potential participants. This enhancement aims to ensure that clinical research studies achieve the necessary participant volume with wide representation of a broad population.
If you would like to use this recruitment service, please submit a request using the YCCI Research Service Request portal (CAS login required), which lists the services YCCI offers, including community engagement and participant recruitment. Through the portal, you’ll also be able to track the status of your request.
The initial two hours of consultation with YCCI staff regarding recruitment and retention are provided without charge. Additional services may have associated fees that vary according to the sponsor of the trial.
After the request is submitted, YCCI will schedule a service consultation with you. During this consultation, the specific needs of your study will be discussed to determine the appropriate next steps. This discussion will ensure that trial promotion is robust for engaging the community and recruiting participants effectively.
Once the trial concludes and the subsequent findings are accepted into an academic journal, work with your department’s communications officer to showcase the results. If your department does not have a communications officer, contact the Office of Communications via email for support.
