Genetics Seminar Series: "Gene control during development"

We have investigated male germ cell development in the mouse model, to understand gene regulation during this critical process. Our findings highlight a central role for factors that govern the transition of RNA polymerase II (Pol II) towards productive elongation in sperm atogenesis. Further, we find an intriguing connection between Pol II pausing and double strand break formation during meiosis in the male germline.
