Seed funding

Critical to maintaining any collaboration is to ensure research monies and resources are adequate to drive faculty innovation. To that end, CBIT aims to provide seed funding to support research that address technical solutions for unmet clinical needs or emerging technologies with clinical impact. Discovery for potential Seed Program candidates will be aided through invitation to the Symposium and Speaker series, and supplemented through CBIT Project Dossier solicitations and informal spotlight presentations at Executive and Advisory Board meetings. It is anticipated that annually four seed grants are awarded annually.
CBIT has partnered with the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) and Connecticut Innovations (CI) to offer several $50,000 and $30,000 awards, respectively, for advancing a clinically driven biomedical innovation project. More information can be found at Biopipelinect.
