Trainee Membership at Yale Cancer Center

The Yale Cancer Center (YCC) Trainee Membership, administered by Cancer Research Training & Education Coordination (CRTEC), supports trainees pursuing cancer-focused research or clinical careers. Trainee Members gain access to the Yale Cancer Center research community, educational resources, and professional development opportunities that foster long-term engagement in cancer research.

Eligibility

Applicants must be engaged in cancer-focused research or demonstrate a clear interest in oncology and be affiliated with Yale University or a YCC-affiliated training program.

Trainee Membership is open to:

  • Graduate students enrolled in PhD, MD, or MD/PhD programs
  • Postdoctoral fellows (research or clinical)
  • Post-baccalaureate fellows

Research Program Affiliation

As part of the application process, Trainee Members select a Yale Cancer Center Research Program aligned with their research interests. Program selection may be guided by the trainee’s mentor and is not limited to the mentor’s primary affiliation, supporting interdisciplinary engagement across YCC.

Trainee Members are expected to fulfill all membership requirements and are reviewed annually to ensure continued eligibility.

Eligibility and Application Process

Trainee Membership eligibility and the application process are administered by CRTEC. Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
