Training

COE offers ongoing training to support researchers, staff, and community partners in building the skills needed to conduct meaningful, community-aligned cancer research. Our trainings focus on strengthening understanding of Connecticut’s catchment area, addressing cancer disparities, and integrating community perspectives throughout the research process.

Participants learn practical approaches for partnering with communities, sharing research findings in accessible ways, and ensuring that cancer research is shaped by the needs and voices of the people it is meant to serve. Sessions draw on real examples from the Yale Cancer Center and collaborations across the region, with guidance from COE faculty and community experts.

These trainings are open to anyone looking to deepen their knowledge of community-engaged research and enhance the impact of their work.
