I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology from the University of Bologna and her PhD in Molecular Medicine from the University of Milan. I performed my doctoral work at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan in the lab of Dr. Marina Mapelli. The main findings of my Ph.D. research include the identification and functional characterization of the novel mitotic spindle orientation functions of Aurora-A kinase and of the actin-binding protein Afadin. I joined the Greco lab in October 2016, and I am interested in elucidating the cellular behaviors of wound repair that promote skin cancer initiation.
