by Elisabeth Reitman

The Cardiovascular Biology Research in Progress (CVB RIP) is a collaboration between the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center (YCVRC) and the Vascular Biology and Therapeutics Program to foster collaboration and raise awareness of cardiovascular research at Yale. The goal of this series, which is organized and moderated by trainees, is to provide a supportive learning environment for trainees to present their research on basic mechanisms in cardiovascular biology. Presenters will have the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on work in progress and improve presentation skills. Under the supervision of Daniel Greif, MD and Kathleen Martin, PhD, our trainee and faculty moderators will maintain a collegial and welcoming environment for all.

The weekly meeting consists of two 30-minute sessions which will be delivered via Zoom at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesdays followed by a mentoring feedback session. Guest faculty and trainee speakers from Yale and other institutions will also be invited to participate.

Please contact Jennifer Aloi to receive a weekly email, or to indicate an interest in presenting in this series.

Investigators at the YCVRC are committed to deepening our understanding of the cardiovascular system in health and disease. The center includes 16 core laboratories and over 100 trainees specializing in areas including cardiovascular development, metabolism, and pathophysiology, and the cell biology, signaling, and genetics of vascular and immune cells, cardiomyocytes, and stem cells.
