Dr. Francis Lee and PGY-2 resident Dr. Alana Mungerpresented research from the podium at the Orthopaedic Research Society's annual conference. Their work is titled Inflammatory Interactions Between Aggressive Breast Cancer And Bone Cells Promote Bone Destruction Through Perk 1/2 Signaling And Inflammatory Conversion Of Quiescent Osteoblasts.

Dr. Mary O'Connor was appointed by the The Knee Society to the CMS Clinical Workgroup on the Development and Reevaluation of Outcome Measures for total hip arthroplasty and total knee arthroplasty.

Dr. Necolle Morgado-Vega and her IRU team at Yale New Haven Health's Milford location won the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Patient Experience. This is the second time that the unit has been given the award and remains the only YNHH site ever to do so.

Dr. Charles Odonkor was recently appointed to three different leadership positions in several professional organizations.

  • North American Neuromodulation Society: Co-chair of the research division, Diversity and Outreach Committee for a one-year term.
  • Spine Intervention Society: Young physician leader on the Diversity Taskforce for a two-year term.
  • American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine: member of the research committee for a one-year term of service.

Dr. David Frumberg was appointed to the membership committee of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society.
