OAPD 2025 Incoming Faculty Orientation

Each year the Office of Academic & Professional Development (OAPD) hosts an all-day orientation program for incoming faculty members. The 2025 Incoming Faculty Orientation (IFO) will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at The Anlyan Center (TAC), 300 Cedar St.

Whether you are new to Yale School of Medicine (YSM), or have been with us for several months, the orientation provides useful information and resources to help you thrive as you pursue your career at Yale, and offers an opportunity to meet and network with peers, colleagues, and leaders of YSM and Yale New Haven Health System. OAPD requests that your department relieve you of any clinical obligations that day. The orientation program includes:

• YSM’s clinical, education, and research missions and resources
• Faculty ranks and tracks (with break-out sessions)
• Resources related to annual feedback, communications, professionalism, wellbeing, and leadership development
