On behalf of the Organizing Committee we would like to welcome you to Delphi, Greece for the Second Yale International Olive and Health Symposium.
Following the success of last year’s first symposium in New Haven, Connecticut, the initiative to establish the Yale Olive Institute has created worldwide excitement and an amazing momentum.
As part of this initiative, this symposium will bring together individuals, organizations, academic and private entities from all over the world to present, discuss and collectively pave the way forward towards a concerted effort to advance and promote the olive tree and its products, in the context of both human and planetary health.
We invite you to submit an abstract for potential presentations in the numerous themes of the symposium:
The objectives of the symposium are to:
(a) assess and discuss in depth current issues pertinent to the olive tree and its products in the areas of Chemistry, Metabolomics, Bioactivity and Sensory Science; Nutrition and Health; Agriculture, Agronomy, Technology and Planetary Health; Gastronomy and Culture; Economics and Policy.
(b) encourage and stimulate discussion and propagate partnerships and collaborations among individuals and entities under the umbrella of the Yale Olive Institute.
