2019 & 2020 J.S. Gravenstein Lifetime achievement award recipients
Every year the Society for Technology in Anesthesia honors an individual with the J.S. Gravenstein Lifetime achievement award. this year Jan Ehrenwerth is the recipient of the award, Kirk Shelley well be the 2020 awardee. It is the society's highest and most prestigious award.
Jan Ehrenwerth is award is for "Visionary understanding of the role of technology in anesthesia care and lifetime commitment to patient safety."
Kirk Shelley 2020 award "lifetime contributions to innovation in technology."
This marks the first time two individuals from the same department have received the award.
