On May 18, the 113 graduates of the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) MD Class of 2020 were celebrated in an hour-long virtual Commencement ceremony, an event that reflected tremendous collaboration among YSM students, faculty, and staff.

For many of the students recognized for their poetry, prose, and visual artwork, the pandemic has heightened the importance of the arts.

Yale Day of Service moving forward with new strategy for 2020
May 9 will remain part of the annual celebration of service for the Yale community. But the Yale Alumni Association and the Day of Service co-chairs are encouraging organizers to convert projects to virtual spaces where possible, with in-person service events being delayed until it is deemed safe and prudent to hold them.
