Rosana Gonzalez-Colaso, PharmD, MPH, has been named deputy director for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for the Physician Associate Program as of July 1, 2022. Gonzalez-Colaso’s commitment to advancing DEI is evident in her leadership, service, and scholarship, which focuses on understanding the experiences of vulnerable populations in health care services and education.
Gonzalez-Colaso has worked to develop educational offerings across professions for students, faculty, and mid-career health professionals. She currently serves in a leadership role for the Equity Research and Innovation Center (ERIC) at the Yale School of Medicine (YSM), and for the Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Health Equity Leadership at the Yale School of Management. In this new DEI role and in addition to her other PA Program responsibilities, Gonzalez-Colaso will serve as the program’s liaison to the YSM’s Diversity Council, advise program leadership on best DEI practices, act as faculty liaison to student DEI leadership, and serve as a resource to help build community.
